Who is BestBallGolf?
BestBallGolf is an innovative company whose goal is to provide the most desirable and exciting fundraising facility to Golf Clubs. Through research we realise that Golf Clubs are facing challenging times with static and declining membership. By applying the latest technology to an old familiar concept we have a created a highly effective fund raising system for Clubs in the UK and Ireland. Our initiative creates added value and brings a fun and exciting challenge to Club members. BestBallGolf is a trading name of Bestball LLP.
How do I enter?
- Players purchase a voucher from their Club – via bar, restaurant, pro-shop
- Players click on the bestballgolf.co.uk link from your existing website where they will see a golf action shot with the ball carefully erased
- They will use all of their skill and judgement to decide where the centre of the ball should be
- Each player can place 5 “x”s per entry
- Redeem your voucher on the website to submit your entry
- Players can enter as many times as they wish
- Each competition … nearest wins!
How much does it cost?
The system offers the flexibility to allow each Club to set its own voucher price.
How do I Win?
At the end of each month’s competition the picture is shown to a golf expert and he/she will mark (in exactly the same way) where in his/her opinion they think the centre of the ball ought to have been. The winner is the closest to the judge’s position. Every month there is a guaranteed winner at each participating Club. Full instructions are given on screen as you enter.
Why Spot the Ball?
This is because we operate as a skill based game and not as a lottery or a raffle. The skill based game also creates an exciting environment where you can compete against other players in your Club.
If I win will my amateur status be affected?
No. The monthly prizes are awarded for winning our Spot the golf ball competition and are not for playing golf therefore are not subject to the limits imposed by The Rules of Amateur Status.
How many times can I enter?
There is 1 National competition per month and a player can enter as many times as they wish.
What can I win?
This will vary as each Club sets its own prize.
When do the competitions finish?
Each competition finishes at the end of each month.
When are the Results announced?
Results are usually announced within 10 days after the competition has finished.
How will I know when I win?
All players will be notified by e-mail of the winning co-ordinates and winner name at the end of the month.
How do we collect our prize?
You will be notified of this by your Club representative.
